Dr. Avi Perry
Dr. Avi Perry is an international expert of Voice Quality Engineering.
Since 2004 Dr. Perry has been President and General Manager of Dr. Avi Perry Consulting. Clients of the firm range from Investment Banking firms and Financial Analysts to Network Equipment Manufacturers and Service Providers of Wireless Telecommunications.
During 2001-2004 Dr. Perry was Vice President at NMS Communications. He was in charge of the Voice Quality Systems Business Unit responsible for Voice Technology R&D, System Test, Tech Support, Trial Support, System Engineering, Documentation, and Business Development. The role comprised hands-on involvement in creating, directing, managing, and mentoring engineers responsible for algorithm design, system requirements, product quality, and testing.Technical support, first office applications, factory setup for new products, and customer training. Responsibilities included Wireless, VoIP, and Fixed Line Toll Network applications. Also included - ITU Standards, Competitive Analysis, and studies of potential innovative algorithms enhancing voice quality, level optimization, echo control and noise reduction.
Prior to working in NMS Communications, Dr. Perry worked in Lucent Technologies, AT&T, and Bell Laboratories. as well as teaching part time as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers and Monmouth Universities.
In 1973-1977 Dr. Perry was a full time professor at the Northwestern Graduate School of Management, where he conducted research and taught courses in Operations Research, Statistics, and Economics.
